Gryphon Place Bowling Fundraiser at Airway Lanes, Portage, Michigan

Gryphon Place of Kalamazoo is hosting it’s 20th Annual Fundraiser to help prevent suicide prevention and domestic violence. The bowl-a-thon is scheduled for Halloween day, October 31st, 2009 at Airway Lanes in Portage, Michigan. This will be a No-Tap style tournament comprised of 5 bowlers on a team. No-Tap means that if you knock down all nine (9) pins with the first ball of any fram, it counts as a strike (as if you knocked down all ten pins). The goal for each team is to raise $375 as a team. In the Halloween Spirit there will be a costume contest for the best costume both individual and team. Airway Lanes is helping this fundraiser by collecting money from October 19th until Friday, October 30th. In addition, all money raised on October 24th and 25th will be matched by Airway Lanes Family Fun Center. Come out to Airway Lanes Fun Center in Portage, Michigan to support this great organization.

With Halloween season upon us, Airway Lanes and Family Fun Center is looking for the best costume out there. Come in October 31st for a chance to win a party for you and up to 9 friends! Party will include, 2 lanes for an hour (shoes included), 2 large pizzas and 2 pitchers of soda. We will have 2 times to win with judging at 6pm and Midnight. Glow bowling will start at 3:30pm and runs all night! Alley Oops lounge will have drink specials and Karaoke with DJ Zaynee starting at 9:00pm.

We had 10 contestant qualify after the first round on Wednesday, October 7. There are still 2 weeks left to qualify before elimination rounds begin. The next 2 rounds will be on Wednesday October 14 and 21. The contest is being held in Alley Oops lounge inside Airway Lanes Family Fun Center. DJ Tali spins the hottest beats between singers for an all together fun and exciting night! Contestants can sing any song they wish, but never the same song twice. It’s only $5 to enter. First place prize is $500! We hope to hear you soon!
